Chuck's Stuff » News/Weather » Outagamie Co. holding H1N1 clinic for all
Dec. 28, 2009 Today is the first chance for the general public in Outagamie County to get the swine flu vaccine.
County public health director Melody Bockenfeld says they'll have a lot of doses available and plenty of staff on hand to administer shots or the nasal form of the vaccine.
She says the clinic will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the D.J. Bourdini Center, across the street from the main campus of Fox Valley Technical College in Grand Chute.
Bockenfeld says there hasn't been as much attention paid to the H1N1 flu over the holidays, but the virus is still out there. She says the only way to prevent it, is to get the vaccine.
The city of Appleton is also holding a series of clinics in January, on Jan. 7, 19 and 28, at Northland Mall.
There is no charge for the vaccine. |
